ACE - CSI chapter of VIPS presents the second edition of HackVSIT under the banner of CSI - State Students' Convention 2019. We at VIPS believe in encouraging the growing talent and by HackVSIT we bring together, people with different outlook and solutions for already existing problems using technology and design. For 24 hours, you will work together with your teams to envision and develop the technology of tomorrow for solving the problems of today.

Human Resources

Human resources are the people who make up the workforce of an organization, business sector, or economy. "Human capital" is sometimes used synonymously with "human resources", although human capital typically refers to a narrower effect.
There are a lot of problems in this field, find them and solve them!


A blockchain, originally blockchain, is a growing list of records, called blocks, which are linked using cryptography. Each block contains a cryptographic hash of the previous block, a timestamp, and transaction data. By design, a blockchain is resistant to modification of the data.
How can you resolve the several problems faced in this field?

Mental Health

Mental health is a level of psychological well-being or an absence of mental illness - the state of someone who is functioning at a satisfactory level of emotional and behavioural adjustment".
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), mental health includes "subjective well-being, perceived self-efficacy, autonomy, competence, inter-generational dependence, and self-actualization of one's intellectual and emotional potential, among others." Mental Health is one of the most important issues in the world at the moment, be it for teens or adults. Are there ways in which us tech-savvy people can help in this area?


Financial technology, often shortened to FinTech or fintech, is the new technology and innovation that aims to compete with traditional financial methods in the delivery of financial services.
It is an emerging industry that uses technology to improve activities in finance.

Smart City

A smart city is a municipality that uses information and communication technologies to increase operational efficiency, share information with the public and improve both the quality of government services and citizen welfare.
In the approach to the Smart Cities Mission, the objective is to promote cities that provide core infrastructure and give a decent quality of life to its citizens, a clean and sustainable environment and application of 'Smart' Solutions.
Analyze the issues that can or will arise and come up with a creative idea to resolve them!

IoT - Internet of Things

The Internet of Things or IoT, is a system of interrelated computing devices, mechanical and digital machines, objects, animals or people that are provided with unique identifiers (UIDs) and the ability to transfer data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction.
It is simply "A network of Internet-connected objects able to collect and exchange data."
It is also one of the fastest growing industry right now. Can you use this amazing concept and implement something useful or creative?

Computer Vision

Computer vision is the science that aims to give a similar to humans, if not better, ‘seeing’ capabilities to a machine or computer.
Computer vision is concerned with the automatic extraction, analysis and understanding of useful information from a single image or a sequence of images. It involves the development of a theoretical and algorithmic basis to achieve automatic visual understanding.
There are numerous applications of computer vision, like agriculture, augmented reality, biometrics, character recognition, etc.

The maximum team size allowed is 4.

Can I register individually?

Yes, but you are required to make a team for the event beforehand.


HackVSIT 2K19 will be a 24 hours hackathon which will stretch from 17th to 18th February 2019.
